House Charity Total @ 08th February

Our fundraising total up to last Friday is £705.05.  This works out at £4.02 per student since September.  Given that our end-of year target is £2000, it's fair to say that we have a lot of work to do to reach that milestone.  As I've said before, if every student in Stevenson (there are 175) gave 20 pence each week then we would raise £1330 by the end of this academic year.  That, coupled with money raised as a result of other fundraising events, should mean that £2000 is a tough but realistic target.

I'm pleased that students in both 7S and 8S have made some excellent suggestions to boost our fundraising total.  Dan, Tom and I are meeting next week to see what we can do to make as many of their ideas happen.  These events, together with money raised through my participation in the Paddock Wood half marathon in April - and several non-uniform days, the next of which takes place on Friday 15th February - will I hope mean that we can all be really proud of our efforts by the end of July.

Thanks for your generosity so far but there's so much more to do, so please make sure you play your part. Remember, this isn't about where we finish in the end-of-year House rankings as is usually the case.  It's simply about trying to trying to honour the wishes of Mr White and his family by raising as much as we possibly can for such a worthwhile and deserving cause.
